The voluntary visiting service Mobile salon The gay counselling service in Berlin has been providing older gay men who are particularly affected by physical impairments, loneliness and social isolation with volunteer visitors and companions for almost 20 years. The volunteers are available to the people they visit on a regular weekly basis over a longer period of time (at least one year) as a dialogue partner. The volunteers receive supervision and regular training.
