All people in need of care are welcome at the Zehnthof residential and meeting centre (WBZ). This is regardless of religious, cultural or sexual identity. The WBZ integrates sexual and gender minorities and has created appropriate structural, organisational and personnel conditions and is a place of diversity. Sexual and gender diversity is recognised as an essential aspect of personality in daily life and care. The staff have taken the initiative to offer LGBTI people a safe home and good care. If you belong to this group of people, you will experience recognition, respect, appreciation and the promotion of a self-determined life at the WBZ.
There is an atmosphere of openness with regard to the diversity of biographies. A "Diversity as a place to live" code of conduct is explained to staff, new residents and their trusted persons (including relatives, the family of choice and carers). At the resident's request, it is possible to exclude first-degree relatives from the care planning process. They also decide who will be informed in an emergency.
