Get to know us know

Under the common motto "Time for you", two projects are active in the RuT that are largely supported by voluntary commitment and the lesbian network idea: the Visiting service for older women-loving women* and the Neighbourhood assistance by the L*Community for the L*Communities.

Both projects are active throughout Berlin and offer lesbian women* social contacts as well as guidance and support in everyday life. Our support services range from shopping help, phone calls and walks to regular visits at home or in care homes.

Our visiting service at RuT e.V. offers companionship, contact and variety in everyday life for women* who love women. We are committed to ensuring that ageing does not lead to loneliness for these women and bring different generations together through our visiting service. Women who are no longer mobile due to restrictions can also find connection and attention with us. We warmly welcome women who would like to be visited or would like to volunteer. We focus on diversity and participation and look forward to receiving your call or message.

Our visits to RuT e.V. are very varied and can be customised. We offer the opportunity to go for a walk together, have a chat, drink coffee or visit museums or lesbian events. Your wishes and needs take centre stage. We visit women at home, in nursing homes or hospitals and are also happy to accompany them on outings.

RuT e.V. offers a range of support services for volunteer women*. These include a full-time coordinator who is on hand to answer questions and concerns, as well as monthly team meetings with everyone involved in the visiting service. We also offer an expense allowance for volunteer work as well as free further training and courses to develop the skills of our volunteers*. We also offer reduced admission to RuT events. We want to ensure that our volunteer women* feel safe and protected, which is why we offer accident and liability insurance as part of their work.

Our reference to LGBTIQ+

The association "RuT-Rad und Tat - Offene Initiative Lesbischer Frauen e.V." and the centre of the same name in Neukölln were founded in 1989 on the initiative of a group of older and disabled lesbian women.
