Brochure for culturally sensitive care for lesbians and gay men
The topic of culturally sensitive care for lesbians and gays in elderly care is dealt with in this article. The Sozialwerk für Lesben und Schwule e.V. has set up a specialist unit in NRW to establish culturally sensitive care for the elderly and to develop modules for basic, further and advanced training. The information brochure "Culturally sensitive care for lesbians and gays" published by the Cologne-based association Rubicon e.V. provides care staff with important information about the specific needs and problems of older lesbians and gays. The aim of the project is to raise awareness among carers and healthcare providers so that they can better understand and support the living situation of older lesbians and gay men in need of care.
